Scope of Work:
Construct deep foundations for and erect 225’ clear span prefabricated bridge across the Gunnison river. The bridge was to replace a condemned suspension bridge that had served as access to the Little Dominquez Canyon recreation area. A temporary embankment was constructed 90 feet into the river for crane pad to deliver equipment and materials to the otherwise non accessible far side of the river. The steel truss bridge was fabricated by Big R Manufacturing of Greeley, Colorado.
